We were introduced to raclette by our good friends who threw a great raclette dinner party. She was using this particular one and it was so easy to use and fun that we had to get one ourselves. All of the cooking surfaces are non-stick and easy to clean, and we love the fact that you can adjust the heat on the grill--we usually keep it high early on and then turn it down later.
I was worried that we would use it a couple of times and then it would get put in the closet like so many other kitchen appliances, but we actually use it often. It's great not just for entertaining, but also if we want to make a quick meal at home more special.

This grill works great. The only problem is it's size , four people are about max. I knew this when I purchased it but due to to storage problems could not purchase anything larger.
The smaller size does make eating more intimate and fun

Everything works perfectly and as expected, but the 8 plates were not packaged with the box as specified. I called Amazon and they immediately ordered 8 plates for me at no charge. When they came in, however, 4 of the 8 were broken and they are out of stock. Amazon gave me credit for 4 of the plates and suggested I keep checking back and order the additional 4 when they become available. More hassle than I planned for, but the Amazon customer service has been fabulous.

The raclette grill is so awesome for hosting guests at dinner. Practically anything you want can be made on this grill in the middle of the table from starters, to the meal, to dessert. It is a lot of fun for everyone and allows you to spend time with your guests instead of slaving in the kitchen.
